Compounded testosterone is testosterone prepared by a pharmacy to your provider's prescription — for example as a cream, in the strength they specify. Yes, you need a prescription: testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, and we can't prepare it without one. We don't sell it direct. Your provider reviews your labs and history first.

Enclomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (a SERM) that some providers prescribe for men — for example, in cases of secondary hypogonadism or to help preserve fertility. As a compounded medication, it's prepared from a provider's prescription and is not FDA-approved. Whether enclomiphene fits your situation is a clinical decision for your provider, based on your labs and history.

They work differently. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) supplies testosterone from outside the body; enclomiphene is a SERM that works through the body's own hormone signaling. Some providers consider a SERM rather than testosterone replacement in certain situations, including when fertility is a consideration — that judgment is your provider's. Both are compounded from a prescription and are not FDA-approved.
